THE GABION PROJECT - 1997, 1998, 1999
Our bank along the stream was washing away over the years. We decided something had to be done, but could not wait for the necessary permits to move heavy machinery into the 'protected' Unami Creek.
So it was decided that we would purchase some gabion baskets and fill them with rocks 'by hand'. The project was started over the summer of 1997....3 summers later we finally finished.
